“Port Said” is a bar/restaurant on Har Sinai st’ (next to the big synagogue on Allenby st) is the perfect place to have a drink and enjoy quality food. “Port Said” is designed with long tables outside that allows people to gather together and listen to old records playing. The “klunkish” local DJs (Yoni Sharoni, Shay Landa) and names from all around the world are coming to play in the “Port Said”, pure funk, rhythm and blues. Once in a while there’s a records bazaar for those of you who have passion for vintage.
The main thing about the menu is the Casual Middle Eastern touch of Eyal Shani which is famous Israeli chef that made his career not from food but from talking about food, or maybe more accurately about over glorifying food so even the most simple ingredient would seem like it’s divine food . This place is so casual that you can’t reserve a table, so keep that in mind. The “Port Said” is heaven for vegetarians, most dishes are but you carnivores will love the Minot steak (our favorite dish). Dishes are not expensive, simple and genius at the same time. Alcohol however is not very cheap, but this is good balance if you ask us. The “Port Said” is so fresh and cool, you should write it down in your checklist.
